Advancing New Mexico's Alternative FuelsThe Advancing New Mexico's Alternative Fuels project will work with the Governor's office and other appropriate entities to address alternative fuel vehicle road signage issues; provide recommendations to streamline alternative fuel infrastructure construction regulations, including zoning, codes, and permitting restrictions; help fleets across the state develop petroleum reduction plans; and expand compressed natural gas and propane vehicle safety and training initiatives. CORWest: Supporting Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Deployment Along Rural Corridors in the Intermountain WestCORWest is a highly collaborative eight-state partnership working with Clean Cities networks and state agencies. The project designs and expands the existing alternative fuel corridors with electric charging in the Intermountain West, supports electric vehicle (EV) access into high-visitation areas throughout rural America, and offers regional transportation solutions to gateway communities through public/private partnerships. The objective of the project is to increase transportation efficiency and enable widespread access to affordable alternative fuels by supporting the EV market and deploying electric vehicle service equipment (EVSE) throughout the Intermountain West. Petroglyph National MonumentWorking with the Land of Enchantment Clean Cities coalition in 2014, Petroglyph National Monument replaced three gasoline vehicles with all-electric, plug-in hybrid electric, and hybrid electric vehicles. The monument also installed two electric vehicle charging stations with one available to the public. An idle-reduction education and outreach initiative was part of the project as well.
